1/4 mile in my s2000
so i ran the 1/4 mile last night and my best time was 15.14 at 90.5 mph and 60' 2.330
last year i ran a 14.8 with no problems and i only had intake and exhaust.
this year i installed my gears and i'm also runing different tires. hankook ventus rs2.
any recomendation on getting a better take off or change the tires?

i found that revving to 6 or 7k rpms get you the best 1/4 time. the best that i did in my stock S was 14.1. also took some air out of my rear tires.
but your going to hear alot of people say that the S isn't a drag car. it's true.

BFG drag radials @ 20psi and launch @6800 should put you in the low 2 second 60ft range if the track will take it (starting line scrapped and fresh VHT)
Air temps will need to be in the 60's and low humidity

i lowered the pressure on the tire to 20 psi. i'm kind more spining more than boggin. ifi launch at 6500 it bogs down.
so i launch it at 6800-6900 and the tires really spin.
my vtec kicks in at 6500 rpm, and im at 4200 above sea level.

You aren't down on power your track just has too much altitude, 4200 actual altitude is alot. Once you start making adjustments for Density Altitude or Corrected Altitude you are probably near 5000 feet. Make your best guesses and fill in this "calculator" and it will tell you how much horsepower your are making relative to ideal conditions.

You are probably only making 80-85% of the power at that altitude. If you aren't getting wheel hop, I would raise the tire pressure a little and leave lower. It sounds like you are getting too much wheelspin, you need to get some wheelspin though. Depending on the rear gear that you got you might also be losing a little ET having to do an extra shift.
