I was just noticing.. take a look at runs 4 and 5.. my 60 foot time was almost a second different, but my trap speed was only 1 mph off.. I bet if I had the second half of the run on #4 and the start of #5 that would have been a nice 114-115 trap speed, maybe mid 12s.

Impressive times! The first few times are always difficult............I bet you will be considerably more comfortable next time.

Don't think so. If you look at the differential from 1/8th mile to 1/4 mile on both runs they're almost the same (speed and time). You just need to work on launching, tire pressure, shifting, etc. You'll run mid 12's eventually and be up in the 114 range I'm quite sure. Cooling the intercooler before you make your run could really help too.

Well done for being so candid Chris, I'm sure your next run out will be better still.

with the trap speeds your running 110-113mph, one of two things is going on.. 1, you must be spinning the
tire alot ,cause that's alot of mph for the times you ran...2, you car pulls really hard on the top end.. If your spinning alot , I think once you figure how to launch the car you should be able to get some low 12 second passes in my fathers z28 I've gone 12.50's with the mph at about 111-112 on drag radials.. on mickey thompson et streets slicks he's gone 12.23 at 113 with a slipping clutch

Chris,

Hitting 12's is nothing to be ashamed of......12.9 is a pretty nice time.....By the look of your times, you should be hitting mid 12's.......damn!!!!!!
