Default 10 HP gain window tint

i just got my two side windows tinted this morning-
it's so dark! soooo illegal! hehehehe.

my car feels so much more comfortable driving...
i was sick of people staring at me on the streets.

i'm really happy that it feels like my car has 10 more horsepower
than what it had yesterday. hehehe.

What % did you go with? I know RI allows darker than MA, but just curious. Any plans for the back window?

i tried to tint the "plastic" back window myself a while ago,
and failed miserably...
well, i really want to tint the back too, so i'm gonna try again
someday, with "static cling" thingy.

i think my side windows are... uh... forgot... it was like...
27...? sorry... i really forgot. (i just looked at the shop's
color charts and pointed at what i wanted. like, "THAT-!!!")

if you went really dark it is probably 5% (limo tint) lets through 5% of the light of a normal window, yet you can see out great....a little hard getting used to at night though

I have 20% on the rear doors and rear window of my Maxima and it is dark enough with still looking legal.

Keep in mind if you have dark interior it adds to the darkness of the tint.

I think a fair price is about $25-30 per window installed.

That is true...most people can get away with the 20% and I would agree with your costs as being in the reasonable range...I got my gen 3 RX-7 done..sides and rear for about $130, I think...and the rear was a total pain....sides too, they had to use a heat gun to stretch the tint for the side windows....pretty hard job, and I got a warning so had to have it stripped, passed and then put back on....$75 for the re-do. I think....

I'd say for our car....75-90 dollars would be about right if they did the static on the back as well...it should be fairly easy to do our door windows, I don't think they have too much of a compount curve... the rx-7 believe it or not, was one of the hardest cars this guy said he had done, and they do everything....

hmmm question, wouldn't it look extremely funky if you were to drive with the top off and windows up?? I was going to tint my windows and I thought about that, it just don't look right, maybe reflective tint??
