1000 miles, SRS light on dash is on?
I noticed the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System/Air Bag) dash light is always on now. This can't be right.
I did hardwire the radar dectector to the "power outlet" but I don't see how this could effect the SRS system. Is there an under seat plug or something that I might have jarred to cause this?
I will take it back to the dealer Monday but I hate to think the mechanic is going to say:
"You stuffed your camera under the seat and unplugged (some odd) sensor" and under his breath "idiot".
Anyone else have a problem w/this? I did search and didn't find anything related.
Thanks

I did A LOT of aftermarket wiring but not until I actually REMOVED both airbags did the light actually stay on for good...
I purchased a little SRS reset "plug" from the dealer that plugs into an under dash harness to reset the SRS light...
In your defense: all the SRS wiring is yellow and I am sure that YOU didn't do anything with it (I hope). Where did you hard-wire into? If possible, when you return it to the dealer for SRS reset, remove your evidence so they don't give you a hard time...

I hardwired the radar detector to the "hot" wire off of the power accessory (lighter) fuse box connector. So it will power the detector as soon as the key is turned.
I will report back with info the dealer finds after I remove the connection =)
I thought there might have been some problem other people had run into...
