Thumbs up $10k off Brand new '06 S2000

I know sounds too good to be true. Someone on another forum said he heard this on the radio & got the phone number. I am in the market for an used s2000 and found this interesting but took it with a grain of salt. So I did call Lumberton Honda (http://honda.stevensonauto.com/index.asp) at 910-739-9871 and they did confirm this. They said they could not talk about it on the phone and I would have to be at the dealer and sign a contract for it. He claimed it was a $10,000 mail in rebate.

If legit, how would that work? Would they FORCE me into a 6yr/20% APR contract? I am not naive so I just want to know how it would work if true.

Maybe someone older can call and get more details than I did?

If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

If it sounds to good to be true then it isn't.

The dealer's cost is approx 29k.
Car dealers are in the business of making money not giving it away.

Don't waste your time with these people.

..actually they mention that it comes with the fast and the furious paintjob and they added $20k for the sticker.

I think they priced it so low because that new SI can pwn everything. The Civic can nevAr lose!

This is just a scheme to get naive people to show up at their dealership with dreams of getting a great deal. Then once you are there you will be on their turf and they will try to pressure you into doing a really bad deal. This is really dishonest stuff that they shouldn't be able to get away with...
