Default 125MPH Only?

The fastest I've gotten my car was 125. My brother took my car out and he said it wouldn't go faster than 125. (Side Note: I was playing golf and rode with my dad and my girlfriend gave him permission to take it out. I'm still mad at her about that)

Am I just missing something? Are US models set with a limit? I read that thread where people have gone around 150MPH.

There is no way that is the fastest it would go.

I rarely get the chance to floor it and try to beat that 125 since around here there isn't a place to do this (safely and without police). Maybe I haven't given it a chance to go above the 125 mark.

I chickened out too. That's crazy fast, but damn that's stable at that speed.

I've gotten mine up to 140 with the top down, and I had just shifted into 6th gear..... it was very stable too....

Maybe he doesn't know it's a six speed.
