Richard,

My first set of tires lasted about 15k rear, 18k front, and that included about 1k of track time. I also spend some time in the canyons . I don't know your driving habits but I don't think you go to the track (yet ) so you may be about right for LA.

It depends upon where and how you drive. My rears should have been replaced at 7K but waited until all four were replaced at 8500.

mine are at 13k and I have tread left, but I already ordered and received my replacement set of rears. Starting to feel it lose traction when wet alot more now though, not that I drive my S2K in the rain at all. But I guess it doesn't rain in LA right?
The fronts are perfectly fine still, and I can probably go another 2-4k before replacement of the rears., but we'll see....

Richard, this weekend, when I show you the canyon that I might travel to my house 2-3 times a day, you'll see why I'm one who is on the 3rd set of tires in 15K!

Hey Prolene,

I was over at Mingsters this weekend to pick up my Muzmat and we were talking about your tires. Now I guess we know why you're on your third set.

I'm a little over 14K miles and I've still got a little rear tread and fronts are fine. I haven't raced or autocrossed but I'm sure i'll be ready for some new rears soon. My delimma is whether or not to buy the S-02s again or get something that wears better. I've hydroplaned on the Bridgestones more than once and they're a little scary.

I almost have 12K miles and there is very little tread left on the rear tires and about 40% tread depth left on the fronts. I am planning to order a new set of rear tires soon - I was hoping that there would be just enough tread left on the rears for my first track event in March/April.

Quick Reply: 15,089 miles, front tires 70%, rear tires 50%!!
