16" Tyres on 17" Rims
Hello, wonder if anyone can help. My wife bought a S2000 a couple of months ago - excellent car. I have not driven it that much - cannot get her out of it !!. Anyway I just cleaned it for her (long story, but it has something to do with forgetting birthdays!!). Anyway when cleaning it I noticed it had 16" tyres on it, when we bought it - we were told it had 17" rims and would have thought 17" tyres... So I suppose the question is - did Honda ever put 16" rims on the S2000 (its a 2001 model) and if not what is the consequence of putting 16" tyres on 17" rims. When you actually look at the car you can see the rim sticking out from the tyre.. This maybe be a stupid question but would really appreciate any advice..
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
All S2ks up to the 2004 model have 16" rims as standard.
I'd say it would be just about impossible to fit 16" tyres to 17" rims - you'd never get the bead over the rim, so frankly I wouldn't worry.
