I always thought (although my wife is becoming less and less likely to agree) that neat little campgrounds the S fits into perfectly with a tent option are such a nice way to go. Campfire, stars exploding in the night sky, crickets chirping, perhaps a stream nearby, and all is well in the world.
after first married I had an 89 Prelude Si and we took it tent camping several times. A little more room with the “rear seat” and the trunk obviously had more room. But the experience was still great.

Great story !!! I enjoyed all of it and would like to hear more.

You mentioned that you had to draw your pistol twice, once for a coyote. Would be interested to hear about the second time also

There is a pretty good app out there called CCW. It has an image of a handgun with an American Flag background. You can put in your permits and see how it plays out or just pull up a state and see what the requirements are. Don't forget that if you may not carry (do not confuse with the term "transport") in a car or person some place, that does not mean you cannot have a loaded firearm at your campsite or in your hotel room. Federal laws for federal land are different than state laws. The one big exception for a concealed permit are welcome centers, believe it or not. Even in the state you are permitted for. However, the point is concealed and not standing out like an idiot.

I live in a firearm friendly county in California and I also picked up an Arizona non resident so I can pretty much cover a huge part of the USA as a concealed holder. I am working on Oregon and Washington state. We drive up there a fair amount.
