Exclamation $1800 for top conversion?

goign to convert to a plstic to glass. A new top will cost me $1k and is aftermarket but stornger and better material than stock. Install is about 10 hours so $800. He has done this to another s2k and came out good. Is this a decent price? I just need a quality job

Someone at the dealership said it's about 1800 to replace and install a new top. That sounds about right.

buy a used top with frame from a fellow s2k owner and install it yourself. should save you at least $1000.

for that price, why not go with a hardtop?

that's what I think I'll do if and when the time comes

Because then he wouldn't have a convertible.

+1 for the hardtop at that price. You can get a brand new hardtop for $2700 shipped, and you can sell your current soft top and frame.

If I'm at work and I want to drive home with the top down, I want to put the top back on when I get home.
