Default 18x9's and 1'' lowering springs

I just wanted to know if anybody can make me feel a little more comfortable about my visit to honda next week. I'm having 1'' Eibach lowering springs installed on my car which already has 18''s ssrgt1's. The tire is 255/35 and 225/40. Plz tell me this will work, as i'm very concerned about wheelwell clearances!

Its all about the Offsets. You should be fine with around a +70.

Brandon - How did it go?

I just put on a set of Work Meister S2rs (18x9 front, 18x8 front) with SO3s in the same 255/35 and 225/40 as you. Eibach has come recommended to me as well.

I too am a daily driver so I can screw with the ride much but I do want around a 1" drop. Let me know what happened and post some pics if you can.

It went like a dream. Of course, this was half a year ago. The guys were kinda skeptic about clearances but i said to go ahead with it anyhow. It looks amazing!!! I had drilled, slotted rotors put on at the same time, and did it make a difference. The car feels, and performs faster. I can't wait to get shocks and an xbrace..... a spugen lip and header!! yea!!

Those are some money wheels, very nice looking! Why different shocks. Well, actually, i want to go a little stiffer Just for the sake of doing it...... Even with the almost non existent body roll i have now, i want to see what it would be like with even less. I'll keep you posted if i ever get the money. As far as rubbing, no rubbing, ever. I've noticed that with the stiffer springs, oversteer is even worse, and you have to be especially careful over bumps at high speeds as it will launch the car sideways.... not a good thing! Overall, an excellent peformance and asthetic upgrade!

Thanks Brandon.

Very happy to hear about no rubbing, ever.

What will "fix" the oversteer? I'm not familiar with exactly what the terms mean. I've heard of them, just ignorance on my part. I may be, and probably am WAY off base, but doesn't an x-brace help some of this? I say that because one of our guys in the club locally mentioned putting on an x-brace and virtually eliminating the cars tendancy to track ruts, etc. in the road (uneven pavement, etc.).

So, based on your experience, would you do the same mod over again or start over if you could?

...also, do you have any pics of your car with the drop? I understand that the Eibachs are different front to back. One person said that was a good thing and gave the car a more even looks vs. the butt end sticking up. The other said not a good thing? Confused. thx!

I'll try to get some pics of my car after it was dropped. As for how to adjust for oversteer, you stiffen the front end. You can do this in a few ways. First, a strut bar and X-brace. Then, get a somewhat stiffer rear sway bar, like the one available in comptech's kit. Then get an adjustable front sway bar, and set it to be considerably stiffer than the front. Play with the settings, and in the end you'll be happy. I'd suggest the comptech rear sway, and a saner front adjustable, but thats only becuase i'm going with that setup too Yes, it does make the car look more aggressive, and i wouldn't go back if you paid me too!
