Default 19" on the rear and 18" up front

I am planning way ahead on my next S2000 (should happen in the next couple of months.) Anyway, I was wondering, is it possible to think you could put 19s on the rear and 18s on the front? What would be advantages/disadvantages? I would def. go with the GT-3s. I think it would look sweet. Let me know you personal opinion. I know performance is hurt, but HOW MUCH? Thanks for all input.

I've been curious about this also. But I've been thinking 18's in the rear and 17's up front. The Corvette does it, and so does other cars such as Ferrari's.

The S2000 Sibling the NSX came from the factory with a staggerd set-up 16's in front and 17's in back for quite a few years

I thought of this too for about a week before I went with my set-up.

There must be some sort of engineering advantage to this setup. I can only think that you'd get snappier steering response because of the lighter up front wheels.

xviper needs to chime in on this.

I would think that on this car it would be messing with the weight distribution, putting more weight on the front tires, giving you slightly less traction on the rears.

I'm no engineer though... so that's just a guess.

you would have more weight on the rear wheels and not the front, and hopefully more traction due to the greater weight of the 19's.

The final diameter has to be the same, otherwise you'll mess with the ABS.
