Overhead valve engines are also commonly referred to as pushrod engines.

So ok, let me rephrase. The GM small block ohv engines are indestructible.

He wasn't referring to the pushrods themselves, he's talking about those types of GM motors as a whole.

oh. i was unaware that c6 vetts came with anything but and ohv engine

im pretty sure that the 6spd manual transmissions available on the Honda S2000 are more reliable than the automatic s2000 transmission

It's 'HIS' car and it sounds like he drives the heck out of it.
Who cares? He's doing what the car was built for.
The car is a gem to many people on this forum , but to him, it's just another daily driver.
In the end it's just a car? right?

GM makes ohc engines too you know, in addition to big block pushrod/ohv engines. I said "small block pushrod" engines for specificity.

You misinterpreted the phrase as referring to the individual component itself, and couldn't resist making a condescending remark. I clarified what I meant: that ohv engines are commonly referred to as pushrods.

That's great that you know the C6 Vettes only come with ohv engines. Others many not know this, and of their purported longevity, which I tried to make aware.

Hey but if it makes you happy, carry on with the sarcasm. It's amusing. By the way, if you want to get into semantics, a shift knob is not usually considered to be part of the transmission.
