It really does, almost MG Midget status, but can the S reach 11k RPM's?
The car is actually a little smaller than a Bugeye.

Some of the S800's had CHAIN final drive.
Half motorcycle, half car.

I think the redline was closer to 7k or 8k, but for the day that was pretty extreme.

Very very cool little things. I've read up on them plenty in the past.

VERY ahead of it's time too - 600ccs, DOHC, quad carbs, 11k absolute redline, 57hp. independant rear suspension, and a curb weight of right around 1600lbs.

I'd really like to see one in person. They sold them here, but I've never actually seen one.

Redline was roughly 9500rpm in the sense that you can't hold it above that for very long.

Absolute redline was just slightly over 11k rpm, in the sense that you can take it into that territory for a brief time without anything flying apart, but wouldn't want to hold it there for more than a second or two.

The S500/S600/S800 are a true Honda Classic. I believe that only the S800 was sold in the U.S. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The specs that I have are:
S500 531cc 44hp 8,500rpm
S600 606cc 57hp 8,500rpm
S800 791cc 70hp 8,000rpm
