Default 1st encounter with Snow.......

I have never owned a rear wheel drive car and lets just say that our stock tires in snow do not spell victory.
I'm from Orange County, NY but work in Rockland County, and my S2K is my daily driver (poor me right). So, I'm at work the 1st time it snows and being to lazy to put on my snow tires the week before I leave for business, I try to make the trip home from JFK airport, its not snowing yet but by the time I hit West Nyack, NY on the Thruway......I'm driving ten miles an hour and looking for a hotel, I have about 55 to 60 more miles to go, so I get off exit 14B to stay at the Holiday Inn but the exit is up hill, so not being able to get up the hill, I call a tow truck and get a ride for 50 bucks for 150 yards. But my S2K is safe as well as my self, now with my snow tires this is the best handling car I have ever driven in the snow, I truly recommend if this is your daily driver you invest in snow tires.
Right now I have bridgestone Blizzak LM-22, and I actually bought them used from Reedz, and he had used them for a season. He was very good to them as you could imagine just by looking at how he takes care of his S2K, but great tires I truly recommend them.

Good story. I would say it's funny, but it probably wasn't at the time. I'm glad you got snows on there... Here I thought this was going to be another "why do the OEM tires stink in the snow?" thread.

Thanks for the recommendation but where I live when we read these posts we say "What's snow?" . I have no doubt that driving an S2K on the stock tires in the snow would be an experience. Glad everything worked out for you.

Wow...you guys acutally drive your cars in the snow...I would never take my 3KGT in the snow and its FWD...mainly b/c Salt and Chrome don't mix very well..and if the snow gets too deep my car would be pretty much a plow..
