TCS with summer tires + snow
Our first real snow happened here in Salt Lake City, UT overnight/this morning and it took me by surprise. I was planning to get the snow tires put on yesterday, but it didn't happen. Anyways, I drove halfway across the city to a tire place to get snow tires thrown on. THe whole trip, I was sliding around through slush on summer tires, and I must say:
I am extremely impressed with how manageable the car was, entirely because of TCS! The back end of the car wiggled a bit every time I stopped up to 15mph or so, but it just shifted very slightly left/right/left/right and never moved out! When I went around corners, the rear end took the corner just right!
Now, I didn't press the limits at all, as it would have had a lot of potential to ruin my car, but as a daily driver in a city with occasional snow, I really like the TCS!
