Thumbs down 2000-2004 TRANSMISSION

I've been reading these forms for weeks. I'm most interested in the transmission differences in 2000, 2002, and 2004, but I've been getting frustrated gathering information on this topic; getting mixed, and partial information. If I may, I would like to request a single, inclusive, detailed, consolidated topic about the differences in 00-04 transmission; touching upon WHAT parts have been changed, WHY, and HOW they contribute to performance.

Thanks.

All that is listed, with links to Honda releases, in the FAQ, specifically the link to the changes from 2003 to 2004. The Honda releases go into exhaustive detail.

You should check out Honda's press release archive. Basically there were two transmissions made for the US/Canada market:

1. 2000-2003
2. 2004+

The later transmissions had stronger synchros, slightly different effective gear ratios, and clutch delay value. In between, a few "bugs" were fixed, such as gear grinds etc (but the "fixes" were not on Honda's website, it's something you'll have to run a search to look for an answer here).

Sorry don't have all the pieces of information readily available with me, so don't want to give you wrong answers. Also, please note other markets have different configurations / changes implemented.
