I'm currently looking at buying an S2000, but I have a delima.

My first choice is a 2000 Red that I can get for about $1,400 off.

Second choice is a 2001 Yellow that I can get for the low low price of MSRP.

I like both cars although personally the yellow does catch my eye. The thing I'm not certain about is will I become sick of the color beyond a year where red certainly won't bother me much.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Its a matter of opinion...

I for one am not a huge yellow fan. I think it looks cool, but I wouldn't have one for my only car, as I know I would get tired of it.

I wondered about that with the Corvette too... if I would get tired of yellow.

All in all, I think its a neat looking color that certainly gets attention (both good and bad). There is another thread about silver vs yellow. My vote goes to silver.

BTW, my car is black... It has a certain attitude with the car, top, and interior being black

Personally, I would spend the extra $1,400 on the yellow. It's an eye-catching color that I don't think you'll get tired of seeing. I'm not a big fan of red, which IMO fades over time.

It's an S2K so you can't go wrong with either one!

Michael,

That's an easy decision. Buy the 2000 model year car!

Honda has softened up the 2001 model too much with luxury and safety items which, of course, also add weight.

Stay with the year that has the hard core, no-compromise edge: the 2000!

If you are going to finance part or most of the purchase price, look at the difference of the APR %. The "used" is usually a higher % because it is used. That is the way most banks see it.
