I have heard that using a wrong protectant product on the soft top is worse than unprotected. Now I am concern which product to use. Can some one help me?

2000 and 2001 models soft top is vinyl, a plastic made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Since top has changed for 2002 models, did the material changed from vinyl (PVC) to fabric (canvas)? I didn

 

I think it's always been a mix of the two. . .

 

Is that mean, I should use both vinyl protectant and fabric protectant? Which one should I use first?

 

airgate, which one do you use? Also the brand.

i use 303 vinyl convertable top cleaner and then 303 aerospace to condition it.

The top is vinyl. It's done to look like cloth, but it's vinyl.

 

It's vinyl. Use something made for vinyl and has UV protection.
