Hey guys, I am new here and posted yesterday about the white 2002 S2000 having all red interior vs. red w/ black... i am ordering my S2000 this week and need to get the color situation clarified as my dealer really doesn't have a clue if the red interior on some of these cars means ALL red, or just red seats w/ door panels.

From what i have read on my last post, it seems to be true that the White comes w/ All red interior...

Is this also true of the Black S2000's ... meaning, if i ordered a black S2000 w/ red leather.. will it Be ALL red or just the door panels, seats and carpet?
Please let me know.. also if i can have opinions from those who have seen the All red interior.. i'd really appreciate it!! I really wanted a white S2000 but i'm not sure i would like having an All red interior.

All of the red interiors of the 2002 models are completely red. The partial red/black combos are only for the 01 and 00 models.

 

1) All the 'Red' interior S2000's are ALL RED. The Red/Black interior from '00 and '01 is gone from the U.S. lineup.

2) I've seen other posts that mention that the only interior color avilable for White cars is red. I don't know of my own knowledge.

3) The all red interior must be seen to be appreciated. Sit in one for 10 minutes if you can. It really grew on me after a short test drive.... Puts me in mind of a classic sportscar like the Porsche 550 Spyder and other great roadsters.... In fact, I loved it so much, I ordered one!

There are some posted pics of an '02 Black with the red leather interior - to me, it's a bit too stark of a contrast. I've got a few decent pics of a Sebring/Red if you want to see it - PM me. If you want to see what the White/Red combo looks like, do what I did and just turn up the brighness of the Sebring/Red pics in Photoshop. Not perfect, but gives you an idea.

No matter what color you choose, you've picked the right car for it....

I think this should be qualified as "All the 'Red' interior S2000's coming to the US are ALL RED. I think they are still building the mixed red+black interiors for Japan. Don't know about other countries, such as Canada. If you really wanted an old-style interior, you may want to check into what is available in Canada and import a car into the US if it has the right color combinations.

I'm not sure i want to go through the trouble of importing from Canada.. i'm exploring my options right now.
