2002 S2000 or 1993 Viper?!?
um.. i personally woldnt pay 32000 for a used car dont matter wat it is ill perfer to spend tat gettin a new 2002 s2k and u will still be able to make it as fast as viper!@!@ kill the VIPER gar burnin SHIT but its its a new one woohoo!!!!
like someone said before...vipers are bad ass, buuuut we are talking about a 93. That car is about 10 years old...I know nothing of the build quality of the earlier vipers, but I would be skeptical. I for one, LOVE vipers...but I'd have to go with s2k on this one...if the viper was a more recent model different story...and different price, heh.
hmmm...... a nine year old Dodge or a new Honda. If you had to ask on this forum you probably should go with the Viper. Torque isn't everything but it will keep your butt in those ugly seats! I'll stick with my S.

Like someone said above, if its going to be your only car, then get the S2k. If you already have a daily driver, then get the VIPER. That being said, you have to make sure you know what you are doing when you start looking for a Viper. These are not cars you want to just jump into and later on realize that its hosed. I had a few friends who have had them for awhile, so I had some help.
I'm not sure about the autotrader ads though. Make sure you ck out the Viper forum at www.viperclub.org. Lots of nice Gen 1 and Gen 2 vipers for sale, plus at least the owners are fanatics and can give you the history. Take your time and research all you can before taking the leap. I have a 93 RT/10 as only a weekend car. Lets put it this way, I loved the s2k when I first got it, but I don't drive it (the s2k) anymore.
The viper and the s2k are worlds apart and you cannot compare them to one another. The s2k is an all-around performer, good looks, and has that fantastic reliability. The Viper on the other hand has all that and then some...not to mention the gawk factor which is really out of this world. The Viper has so much torque and power, that once I got back into my s2k, I started to wonder what I was so excited about in the first place. Trust me, you CANNOT go ANYWHERE in the Viper w/o people honking/yelling/telling you to pull over/whistling/etc... so if you don't like the attention stay away from the Viper. FWIW, mods are very expensive on the viper as well (headers 2k, sc 17k!!). I've got an extended warranty on my viper for another 2 years, but in the time I've had it, its been flawless. Either way you cant go wrong. IMO, it all comes down to how you will use the car (daily vs. weekend). Good luck

Consider this.
A viper has a combustion chamber, about 1/4 of the size of most car's petrol tank.
Prepare to take an extention on your mortgage, every time you you fill up the tank. Especially with impending Middle East Conflict
