....My dealer in Atlanta (Honda Carland) has told me my car will be here the 3rd or 4th week in October. I have been promised MSRP, which hasn't yet been announced by Honda, and I am getting their cost plus 10% for the front and rear spoilers. I have sent the dealership 4 or 5 customers in the last few weeks and I feel that has garnered me some goodwill. Also, here in Atlanta, there are still many dealers with 3 or 4 '01's still on the lots.
As many of you can attest, dealers and salesman are notorious liars, so I will just have to try to hold them to their promise. I have refused to give a deposit as I don't want to limit my options and if this scenario doesn't work I will just keep trying until I am driving my Sebring Silver.

Good Luck to you.

Sebring, watchout for that cost plus 10%. Many times the Sales Dept. is actually buying the parts from the Parts Dept. and they pay the same as you and I.

When I bought my car I was told that I could have any accessory at cost minus 10% which was retail price minus 10%. If that's the case then you can get accessories cheaper through one of the board sponsors like H&A.

Just my $0.02.

Also, please let me know if your interested in joining the Atlanta club. If you sign up now you'll be all set when the car arrives (and you may be the first Sebring Silver in the club).

My dealer promised MSRP. Whatever that is. Maybe 3% over last year.. So nothing too big.
As far as where I got it, in Charlotte, NC. The dealer also said about the 3rd week of Oct. The wait is killing me...

With the overhang of 2001 inventory in many places and the crappy economy, I would be surprised to see any MY 2002 S2000's hit the U.S. before the 1st of the year.
Anyone out there really know (not just what a salesman told you) when the new S2000's will show up on dealer lots??
Any Far East posters know if the S2000 production line has even started up yet?? I doubt it.

I have heard end of November, beginning of December for 2002 deliveries. There is however, no word on pricing for the 02 S2000s as of yet.

Mostly the same story as everyone else. Ordered my Spa Yellow 2002 at the beginning of September, gave the dealer a deposit and signed a sales contract that has the sale price filled in as MSRP. The dealer puts a $1,000 paint and leather warranty. I am looking at that as a mark-up cost. The dealer showed me his little print out listing that the car was assigned to him. The word is the car will be here the first week in October. Well today is the first week in October and if people in California don't have there 2002 s2000's yet and Honda has still not announced MSRP I would say I am not getting the car at least for a few weeks. The days are sure dragging waiting for it!
