Default 2003 - no rear defroster?

Searching the forums, I've found that the rear defroster switch should be to the right of the steering column on the 2003 MY - I only have a plastic blank. Any ideas on why this would be?

I'm sure it has one! On the MY04-05 they changed the position of the switch to just after the gear lever, but I do not recall where the switch is on the 03. It should be one switch that defrosts your side mirrors and rear window simultaneously. Probably there is just a side mirror sign on the switch, no rear window!

Possibly Honda didn't include this on early '03?. Do you have the defroster rear window?

I had the same reaction - it's an 03 - VIN check, all period-correct options (starting with the glass rear window). I'm at a loss as to why it wouldn't have the switch.

Didn't they have a rear defroster in the 02's when they switched to the glass rear window? Wouldn't make sense that early 03's didnt have it then. You are correct that it should be on the right side, just about directly behind the windshield wiper arm. Same style button as the cruise control over on the left side.

exactly, not sure how it is in other countries, but if you have a US S2k....00-01, there is no switch...02-03, the switch is right behind the wiper arm, same on 04-05....in 06, they replaced the defrost switch with the vsa switch, and put the defrost switch behind the shifter.

I thought so.. Honda did offer some strange options on these cars though, so maybe defrost was actually an option?

and right in that spot (behind the wiper stalk) is where I have a plastic blank. Not that I'm expecting much of an answer, but I'm going to ping Honda to see what they have to say...
