hey guys, i have an 02. could someone take a REALLY big closeup of an 01 wheel? 02 wheels cost about 40 bucks more on handa-accessories. i'm just curious to know what exactly is the difference
pray, pray, and pray that 03 is the last year! i hope they don't make the S into a production model that lasts for a while. ours right now would be the weakest/oldest of the line if it were so.

Quit being so greedy!! You should want the car to be very successful and for them to continue the Model. At the price the car is, it is never going to become as plentiful as a Miata, so you shouldn't worry about that. But if they get rid of the car, other hopeful owners (like me) won't get a chance.
You should hope that the S2000 is so successful that Honda continues to make the model and possibly introduce even more sports cars. When was the last time Honda released a rear wheel drive sports car?The S2k is the only powerful convertible available from Japan (until the 350z) to compete with the SLK, Boxster, M3 (I don't like any of these cars!!). You don't want those snobby Euro types winning do you?

Hey, better it be a collector's item than another 10 generations worth of manufacturer photochopping like the Civic...

Have you heard of the saying, "when pigs fly"?

From to my eariler post "The S2000 Needs a V6" If Honda listens to the idots on this webpage, they never will. They claim the the torque in the S2000 is perfect and that the S2000 needs no improvements, and if you ever mention it, they will kill you and put you on a cross like Jesus.

I hope Honda upgrades the power to keep it competitive with the other sports cars in its class. In 2000 it had more HP than any of the competing roadsters. The competition upgraded power along with $$$. I hope the S2000 follows suit, except for $$$$ part.
The typical model upgrade cycle is 3-5 years (except for the NSX), so I'd expect significant changes in the next couple of years.

I'm wondering, in all seriousness, since Porsche continues to update their Boxsters, and the new 350Z and G35 is coming, will Honda change the S, will it will it will it?

From that Australian-made S2000 review (the one, I am sure, that many of us have played more than a few times) "coming late to the party isn't always a bad thing".
The MDX and Pilot are other examples. Honda takes their sweet time developing a full-size SUV, but when they finally do, its great and met with rave reviews.
Concerning product-cycle expectations, my guess is that the S2000 will have a product cycle like the NSX. Perhaps not a decade+ like the NSX, but certainly not the 4-5 year cycle like their bread-and-butter models which are directed at a market segment that demands updated looks and features every few years.
The NSX saw minor changes through the years, I expect we will see that with the S2000. I suspect the design department didn't clay this one up to be rethought in such a short span of time.
