Are the 2003 Stock rims aluminum? Does anyone know, it states they are alloy, but does that mean aluminum?

 

How could an alloy be the same thing as aluminum. An alloy is a mixture of two or more metals.

Yes they are Aluminum. Most likely cast and not forged though.

Alloy just means that other material was added to the pure metal in order to enhance it's properties. So if it's 99% Al and 1% Zinc, Copper, Magnesium, etc.. Then it's an Alloy.

How much weight advantage do these wheels have over a steel alloy? I'd hate to hit a curb with them..
