Default 2004 gear shifter...

Maybe its just me but it feels like it clips into 2nd gear. I have only put about 300 miles on her. Does the transmission have a break in period or something? Or is it really just me?

I had the same problem too. But it seems that the grin goes away when the trans warms up. So it should okay.

I have a little over 700 on mine, and when it's cold it's pronounced going into second. After driving a few miles it's much less noticeable.

I have an Silverstone 04 with 878 mi. Shifting to 2nd gear is a little chunky while the car warms up. Then it's smooth as silk....

Service mgr advised the trans needs to warm... I hope he's right.

1500 miles now. Notchiness into second virtually gone. Better when warm...
