Great info! Keep it coming! Would like to see more pics of that new key! Looks like they are trying to address some of our gripes. I still want to see some 0-60, quarter mile times, ETC. Either way, still got loads to payoff on my 02', not to mention all my mods already! Can't wait to see it in person, though.

I plugged the gear ratios into modifry's spreadsheet:
[CODE]
Gear Ratio 6000 8000 8300 Shift 75
1 3.133 27.6 36.8 38.2 RPM 16,303
2 2.045 42.3 56.4 58.5 5418 10,641
3 1.481 58.4 77.9 80.8 6011 7,706
4 1.161 74.5 99.3 103.0 6507 6,041
5 0.942 91.8 122.4 127.0 6734 4,902
6 0.763 113.3 151.1 156.8 6723 3,970
Rev 2.800 30.9 41.2 42.7

Great Info!
So, MY04 gets 4% tighter gearing for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th; 1% for 5th; and -2% for 6th. For the first 4 gears, total gearing is very similar to "classic" S2K with 4.30 axle ratio. However, with more torque available earlier in the RPM range from F22C, my guess is that the actual acceleration in the 1st gear, rolling start situation, initial acceleration maybe similar to 4.44 on an older S2K. Anyway, looks like MY04 S2K will require shift to 2nd gear quite a bit earlier than the classic S2K (i.e., 38mph vs. 44mph).

Excellent work! Very nice find indeed. This thread has been extremely informative.
The new wave key is great!
I feel bad for Rick Hesel and his Accessory division. Seems Honda hit home with the changing of front diffusers and now the keys. I still like my key better, but the wave keys are cool.
