Has anyone noticed that the tires appear square at the edge, unlike the stock SO-2? They look more like SO-3's due to the band near the inner portion of the rim..

Only time will tell.

I think Honda did a good job of not destroying the beautiful look they had given the S2000 if this is in fact the car. I can't quite make out whether the emblem say S2000 or 2200. -Ken

I think 99% of people will not know the difference - they'll still see taillights only.

Actually the OEM S-02s are the most squared off tires I have ever seen. That is why the 225s on the rear have the contact patch width of a typical 245 tire! With all the confusion this lead to with replacement tires (non-OEM wise) I doubt Honda does that again. I think what you are seeing is just an illusion brought on by the new 17" rims.

Regarding 2-tone seats : My wide said "Nice for her, not nice for me". She meant they are too busy to be masculine, therefore are girly.

P.S. I have a build date on my car - will post separate thread

Will VTEC still kick in at 6k? I'm seriously considering the 01 to 04 swap...

Is this a Freudian slip, or are looking for a divorce?

I'm not fond of the huge plastic console over the transmission tunnel, The bumper is gonna take some getting used to as well as the headlights... I pefer the our taillights. I agree with wrs2k regarding the tach... The seats are okay..... I'm just glad it's not such a dramatic change.. I luv my car...

The new front end is ugly. The two tone interior looks very nice though. Much nicer that the pimped out all red one. The stake through the heart no no for me is the loss of the 9K redline. Honda just castrated (cut off the balls) of the original no holds barred concept that made the S2K special. Lets see.....no additional power....a little more torque...at the expense of head room at the top of the rev band. ......I am ditching the S2K when the new C6 Z06 vette comes out. Honda is bound to ruin the S2K like they have slowly ruined their other lines.....new gen civic....accord...etc...etc.

I thought they would put more racing technology not less.
They would have made big news if they raised the redline to 10k.
Now that would keep demand up alot.

And maybe made it even lighter with more lighter metal materials.
Thus more power.
