I recall reading on this website that one of the proposed changes for MY 04 included new rear lights with 3 instead of 2 rings. I imagined that this would look pretty tacky until I started flipping through the Daniel F. Carney book on the Honda S2000. To cut a long story short, the book shows pictures of numerous prototype S2000's and in one particular picture (pg 50) there is an S2000 on axle stands with 3 ring tail lights. It actually looks alright! I will try and scan the picture and post it as soon as I can. I'm not sure if these are the same lights that will be used in the MY 04 but if they are, they aren't that bad looking. If you've got Carney's book, check it out and see for yourself.

 

I'm sure they'll be fine. Honda's not going to fawk up the 2000.

you can go to any good bookstore (barnes & noble, walden, etc....) but they will have to order it. Just ask for the book "The Honda S2000" by Daniel F Carney.

 

ah, i have that book, i can see the 3 circles in the rear lights instead of 2.

Awesome book on the S2K. I just picked it up this week, and I recommend it to anyone who loves the S2K.

Actually the new tail lights are two large ones somewhat similar to what is there now and a small reverse light toward the center of the car in each lens. Sort of like OOo oOO . I know, I've seen the pictures. No I can't show them to you.
