Default 2004 S2000 on order- hardtop question.

I have ordered a 2004 S2000 (Silverstone metallic with red/black). This will be my first S2000, to be used as my daily driver (my commute is about three miles). As winter can be snowy and cold up here, my first purchase will be a set of dedicated winter tires on 16" rims.

To further improve the winter roadability, I want to get a hardtop. Here's the question: Does the hardtop limit headroom to any significant degree? I can comfortably sit in the S2000 with the top up, and I probably have 3-1/2 inches of headroom. Will I be banging my head against the hardtop?

Thanks in advance.

I just got the exact same 2004 S2000 (Silverstone metallic with red/black). I live in Chicago and have been driving it everyday. As I write this my S2k is having snow tires finally put on. Before I bought it I thought that I could do sixteens with snows but the Tire Rack quickly informed me that the brakes on the 04 are too big and sixteens do not fit. For our 04's there is only one choice of snow tire, Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22's. I bought a set and will have my first chance trying them out this afternoon in freshly fallen snow. I will let you know how they work out.

Also, had a difficult time in chicago suburbs finding a place to swap tires on the 04. Becuase of the offset of the 17's they need to be reverse mounted or something like that, and the only place the I found and trusted made me wait a week for an appointment.

Thats my advise

Please, becareful after you just put on the Blizzark as they need at least 200ml. to working properly. Now that I have about 500ml. on them, they handles much better in both snow and dry road, the first 200ml. was horrible and so scarry as well! Sorry Ican't help you out with the HT question.

What do you mean by ml? Is that milliliters? Are you talking about pressure?

PLYRS 3, have you put on 16's? Curious now to see if it really can be done.
