Default 2004 S2000 Sales Way Down

MT has data that shows S2000 2004 model sales as being down about 12% over 2003. Porsche Boxster and 911 were down even more.

Slow economic recovery? Sports cars a luxury, esp. for families who have more practical needs from their vehicles. Me, being single, can waste all my money on my car and eat Ramen

Or maybe people in the market are going other routes, I see more and more 350Zs on the road every day?

Isn't the switch to the new factory supposed to be holding things up a bit from a delivery standpoint?

I don't know about you guys, but I am sorta glad I don't see the S2000 everywhere. Makes the car seem more unique and desireable!

I agree totally, I still get the old (what kind of car is that) everywhere. 350Zs get a lot of press and love, but there's a mystique to the S, kinda like an exotic!!!

Maybe it has something to do with the fact Honda replaced the screaming 9k redline was with a Civic-like 8k redline. LOL
