2004 S2000 - what ballpark range should I sell my car for?
Hey Guys,
I'm looking to sell my S2000 so that I can make room in the garage for a small fishing boat (I'm somewhat of a fishing nut). When doing research on car sites, I have somewhat a gauge on what the car is worth, but figured I'd ask you guys as well before I ultimately post it up. If this is the wrong area to post this, let me know.
The car is in near-mint, cherry condition, low mileage and taken care of to the utmost. Pics to follow below...
2004 S2000, Sebring Silver, Red/Black interior
19,700 miles
Minor mods include:
I get offers all the time to sell it when I drive it around, but never could think about parting with it, but I think it's time, but watch me regret selling it in like 2 years, though.
Thanks guys,
Joe

Minor mods include:
- Bilstein PSS9 coilovers (I also still have the stock suspension in a box)
- Rick's Air deflector
- Rick's Seat air deflectors
- Clear side markers

Don't. Street park your beamer and move this beauty into your garage along with the boat.
Whatever you're going to sell it for, it's not worth it from an owner's perspective.

Not sure what the market for the S2000 is in the state of Not Applicable... (per your "about me" data). But it looks warm or the photos are from last summer.
Neither the minor mods or Porsche spec tires add/detract value to the car. My "rule of thumb" * indicates a "value" of this car at $23K assuming no mods (yours really don't count), all 10 VIN tags, the car passes smog, and has an impeccable interior and roof (no tears). Price goes down from there. Car should be in "detailed" condition to get this price.
* $22K plus/minus $1K for every year newer than 2006 and for every 10,000 miles less/over 50,000 miles. $22K - $2K (age) + $3K (30,000 less miles) = $23K. Absolutely no scientific data -- mainly because no one will tell us what they sell these cars for. Rule-of-Thumb.

I would sell if for no more than $2000.
I will be there with a trailer and $2000 as quickly as possible to pick it up

Hah, I know what you mean. That said, there's no way I park the 340i on the street. That thing is a beauty, and I take care of all of my cars to the max

Pretty close to my model. $22K - $2K (age) + $0 mileage = $20K.
The days of the $9,000 S2000 are long over.

I just purchased a low mile 2007 (18,000) drive by wire which go for a little more and in having looked closely at AP2's this should be a low of $22K and an extremely high of $27K....research Bring a Trailer if you really want to sell it. I think this will do well there. You set the hidden reserve and only pay $100 to list and buyer pays a 5% buyers fee.
You can also pull up a history of S2K's and draw your own conclusions as to what it will bring.
