I personally would rather punch myself in the nuts than lose $4k for those reasons, but that's me.

Great job adding some humor!

Buying the wrong color is always a big mistake that creates regret later. Ask me how I know.

You estimated cost of switching from a 2005 model to 2006 model is around $8K. Below is breakdown in numbers:

According to bluebook value if you sell yours as private party, assuming the car is in excellent condition, you will get $27,000 according to your mileage and year.

(What you paid $32,000)-(Bluebook value)$27,000+ $3,000 (tax registration for a new purchase, assuming you can buy a 2006 for $30,000)=$8,000

My estimate is pretty conservative, it's a costly switch from 2005 to 2006.

Spend the money on wheels or better yet a Supercharger.

You would be lucky to only lose $4000.

Made a mistake once buying a car with the color I didn't like because I was impatient. Never again...that why I waited additional 6 months to see what the new 06 color will be available....glad I waited and rewarded with a Laguna Blue Pearl !

Depending on which state the OP lives in, there may be very little tax if the car is traded in.

NFR is a great color if you keep it nice. Sounds like this car might not be for you though?

Although I waited to buy an 06 so I wouldn't have to deal with this issue in the first place.

And yeh I've heard about the supercharge. Would it be any worth for a new car? How much would it be and would it harm my car?
