This is from Motor Trend future outlooks, "2005 Honda S2000: Redesign with obligatory power boost."

Does anyone have any input on this statement? I am looking to get a MY04 soon but would wait if a redesign is in the works for 05.

 

NOT true. There is already a increase in power, maybe in 2005 they will out it on paper.

from what i have seen from the dynos of none press release cars...the power gain is minimal at best HP wise in the 04.

 

i dont think they are changing the design... why would they? they just redesigned it for 04, why would they redesign it if it already is good? i think that for the 05 they will just add little things, like they did for each passing year....

 

I had heard that Honda made a deal with Daimler/Chrysler to get some 426 Hemi engines for the S. Would that increase the torque and HP???

actually, if you go to vtec.net they dyno'd an '04 and it looked like it put up quite a bit more power than the listed 240horse...
let me see if i can find that article.
