I just got a new OEM replacement for my cracked wheel. When I opened it up the spokes and lip are polished, but my car's wheels are completely painted, nothing polished. Majestic Honda insists that with my VIN that is the only wheel I could get from Honda. Does anybody else have a 2005 that has solid painted wheels like mine (...and came that way from Honda)?? The new one is on the left and my original possibly painted one is on the right. You can even see the crack in it at about 7:00 if you zoom in.

I don't want to pay again to have the wheel painted. There's body damage on the car at the same location that is getting fixed next week (somebody tagged it in a parking lot ), maybe I can lump them together.

 

I got mine's used, but they're polished, like the left one.

i have 3 sets of 04/05 wheels, all of them are polished like the left one.... perhaps yours were painted or you have fake wheels??

 

No, they were painted. The identification numbers and marks in the castings (on the back of the spokes) are identical. After really looking them over there are 2 tiny runs in the clear coat. Looks like I'm going to have to get it painted. What a useless and ridiculous mod.

I have ones that are like the one shown on the right. I actually prefer this look than polished, which looks tacky.

They were bought from an ap2 my05 from Canada.
