2006 Battery Location
Dumb Question - I'm new to the S2000: I see in the manual for the 2006 to check the battery under the engine hood.
Yet I've seen several cars where the battery is in the trunk, right hand side. Does the car have 2 batteries?? Or is the manual I saw wrong? Did the location change over the years?
Thanks in advance,

I take it this is not a photo of your car.
This person has relocated their battery to the trunk. Under the hood, they have relocated the fuse box to the battery location. Who knows why.
To see where the battery is on your car, you simply have to look.
On a stock S2000, there is one battery. It is under the hood.
If you're trying to buy the car in the photos, I would have reservations regarding why all this was done. Its usually done in order to turbo the car and move things out of the way.

Thanks for the input, it was a car I was considering to purchase, my first S2000. I thought I’d seen the battery in the trunk on a few cars but checked again and realize now it was one-off. I happened to be relatively close by (90 miles) & was the right color, so I wanted it to be ok. When I double checked I first wondered if it was a model year change, maybe for weight distribution so maybe it could make sense?
Thanks for the explanation also as to why this would be done. My search goes on….

photos taken with a potato are concerning.
The rear battery mounting is fine, provided the person who embarked on that voyage knew what the hell they were doing. Check to see the mount is secure and they properly reinforced the area. I'd want to see some proper corrosion protection as well in the area that they decided to drill thru the metal.
