I do not mean to be a sensationalist, and I also don't know if this is old news, but I found an interesting little blurb on a possible 2006 S2000.

I had to babelfish it because it was originally in german, so I don't know if the meaning of the article was changed when I did that, but anyway, it does mention something of a retractable hard top. once again, I don't know how accurate this information is, but I thought I might share to get other's views.

*edit* Also, I went back to the main portion of the website above, and I found this little piece of information as well. The text is garbled, so I have not clue what it says, but as you see from the pictures, there is an s2000 coupe pictured (probably edited by computer, but hey we can dream can't we?)

Looks like to me, but in any event, I like the looks of the coupe. I would buy one, but Honda would have to increase hp to deal with the extra weight.

 

that picture is an infamous photoshop. if i remember correctly, its a mazda roof.

Honda will never make the S2000 in a coupe. It would defeat the entire purpose of the car. All previous "S" cars were roadsters, and the car was designed as a convertible from the start.

It's funny that they say S2200 coupe, because that photoshop existed LONG before anyone even knew the S2000 would be made into a 2.2 liter. In fact, I think that photoshop is from 2001.

Plus that wiper looks like ASS!

Besides, haven't you seen all the threads saying there won't even BE and S2000 in 2006?

 

I kinda like that red Miata with the hardtop like that... the S2000 doesn't look too bad either but the wiper does take away from the look of the car in a big way.

If that's the 06 it's freekin front bumper nightmare.

 

Not so, the S800 was also available as a coupe 38 years ago.
