Nope. Just buy a used Honda remote (that's correct for your car) and program it. Easy peasy.

Can't you buy a fob from the dealer?

A brand new fob is ~$200, a used one can be had on ebay for less than $50.

It was a used car dealer. The guy installing my viper alarm took the panels off and said there's no factory actuators.

http://owners.honda.com/vehicles/inf.../S2000/manuals

Pages 63-65 have information pertaining to the power door locks and the remote transmitter. Your S2000 came from the factory with power door locks and two remote transmitters (aka fobs). If you do not have the fobs, you can purchase replacements and program them.

So either the guy that took off the door panels is an idiot, or some PO removed the factory actuators and left them off, disabling remote lock/unlock (or the guy is a thief and stole them while you weren't looking).

There's a keyless entry module in the dash to tap into. It's all mentioned in the DIY Viper alarm thread. I would find another installer to make sure your car didn't get hacked up.
