thnx. dont worry about the old pages. but tell us if u see something in person that's hard to see in the scanned image.

what is the button in front of the shifter between the air vents?

the key looks the same as the 04-05.

the driver's side mirror of the interior shot looks to be laguna blue.

no more headrest speaker accessory. does that mean u can't even buy them anymore from the dealer? and if u did, hen u would have 12 speakers.
That button is labeled "PASSENGER AIRBAG". It doesn't seem to have an LED, so not sure if it's an on/off switch. There is a passenger seat belt reminder listed in the specs, so maybe it's one of those sensor buttons you turn off when you have weight in the seat, and it's not a person.

This is different - the picture is the same as the '05 brochure, but the wording is different.

'06 - "The S2000 instrument panel was designed for quick reads at speed. As that bright digital tach arcs rapidly clockwise, you get an advanced lesson in acceleration. And the harder you prod the S2000 via its new Drive-by-Wire Throttle System, the more you realize this car was built to be worked over. It just loves the attention."

'05 - "The S2000 instrument panel was designed for quick reads at speed. As that bold, bright and beautifully big digital tach zips toward redline, you get an advanced lesson in acceleration. And the harder you prod the S2000, the higher you rev that eager engine, the more you realize this car was built to be worked over. It just loves the attention.

What the heck is "Drive-byWire Throttle System? Never heard about that in the rumors.

New switch between the ROOF button and Hazard button.

It's pretty odd that with the greatest resource for making changes/improvements (this forum's feedback and users posts) that Honda has made choices like these to the 06.

One would figure they would have made real changes to the things we all bitch about besides roll bar speakers.. They probably left that crappy head unit in for 06 too.

I'm floored.

The more I look at it... The more the candy ass changes make me sick
That button on the center console is the defroster switch. THe VSA button should be where teh old Defroster switch used to be.

"Drive-byWire Throttle System" is a fly-by-wire system. It uses electronics instead of "mechanics". No gas-wire.

drive by wire, as far as i know is using a computer sensor to input throttle as opposed to pulling on the throttle cable. good for luxury cars, but not the s2k cuz it usually removes the driver from the road and u can't sense the engine in the throttle pedal...as far as i know.
