Not a fan of the new wheels, but then again that's the one thing I change within the first year of owning a car (now saving for a set of O.Z. Galileos for my 05)

Hi Patty,

No your not the only one. Though I don't see them as a great improvement over the 04/05, I still think they look pretty good.

The front brakes are ALWAYS going to do most of the work. Basic physics. The harder you stop, the more weight gets transfered forward.
Ah its Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) not Brake assist thats supposed to even out the brake work between the front / rear. The car tries to help even out the balance. I understand the front normally does most of the work ... but EBD on Acuras is supposed to make the rears work harder automatically by distributing brake pressure differently when you step on the brakes ... but the S2K doesnt have that, just brake assist which sounds like its just an accident avoidance thing.

Brake Assist

Brake Assist helps drivers apply full braking pressure in an accident avoidance situation. To do so, a microprocessor continually analyzes and 'learns' the driver's normal braking habits-monitoring both the rate of pressure applied and the total pressure that the driver normally applies to the brake system.

If the driver suddenly applies the brakes, Brake Assist brings the system to full ABS activation to help stop the vehicle in the shortest distance possible. It is only activated when the microprocessor detects that certain brake pedal speed and pressure thresholds are reached.

Importantly, Brake Assist assists the driver in obtaining full braking performance in an emergency. The Brake Assist system deactivates when the driver releases pressure on the brake pedal.
Just like was said earlier..

It's too bad that all our whining felt to deaf ears. They seem to have fixed things that aren't broken and left things that are broken the way it is.

Some OT info. Check out this article about what IBM is about to do for the auto industry.
http://today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle....IBM-AUTO-DC.XML

To sums it up "the technology will allow automakers to basically search the internet looking for customers complaining about problems with their vehicles." Can someone say S2Ki?

Patrick.

When the '04/'05 wheels came out, I didn't like the wheels at first. They had to grow on me. When I saw these '06 wheels, I liked them at first sight. Maybe I'll swap my '05s with someone who buys an '06.

I bet you'll get a bunch of offers for that trade.

That would be good. I'll trade them straight across, with my old tires and their new ones.
