Does the VSA mean higher invoice?

Don't hate on the new seats......I can tell by looking they support your head better than the current ones.... more importantly, they aren't vented behind the neck which mean no more FREEZING neck on those cold morning or evening drives...

VSA would definitely be a bonus for daily driving (plus you can shut it off). But it must add a few bucks to the price. That's about the only upgrade I'd want compared to my 05. DRLs would probably be OK too -- can't hurt to have more awareness in a low-slung vehicle (especially my silverstone which blends in with the road!).

I do like the older open headrests better, it's one of the design elements I find interesting about the car.

My Outback XT has D.B.W., and it's transparent for the most part. The interesting thing is that it can be used to improve fuel economy by nannying the throttle inputs. Gone are those situations where you floor the car and waste gas in cases where it won't help any. The D.B.W. system only inputs as much throttle as the car can benefit from in the given situation. I wonder if they tuned the S2K ths way??? Actually, the S2K is manual-trans only with fairly direct throttle response -- I don't notice much excess throttle action when accelerating.

Great post, Harpoon!

The Drive By Wire was necessary to accomodate the VSA. Otherwise, there would be no reason for Drive By Wire.

I really love the new features. That VSA will come in real handy in the rain and snow. With a set of Blizzak tires, it should handle quite well in bad weather. This might help lower our insurance premiums, since fewer wrecks may take place in bad weather.

I wish they came with outside thermometers on earlier models. I had to add one to my A-pillar. Not because I needed to know the temperature, but in the winter, it's nice to know if you could encounter ice on the roads.

I really love that Laguna Blue!!

Is it just me, or does it look like honda used the old AP2 brochure pic and ps'd the 06 rims on? I'm not liking the seats either, they just dont look "sporty". Laguna Blue Pearl looks awesome though.

what makes the blue a "pearl"?

I wonder if it will be possible to unlock the passenger door from the drivers door.

I can honestly say that I am thrilled that I got a MY05, I was going to wait for the 06 but a car accident that led to my truck being totalled forced me to buy the car early. No, I am not hating on the car and saying that my ap2 is a better version, its just not my style. My dream s2k would have been the ap2 with a 9k redline but I had to make due with what was available, there was no way I was going to buy this type of sports car that was used and more than likely abused.

I have no idea what honda was thinking with the new wheels and the steering wheel (worst change). VSA could be ok, the seats aren't terrible, I prefer earlier ones though.

Still a s2k and overall looks good. I really want to see the new blue in person.

I like the headrest. If it was removable to allow a helmet, that would be even better. The rest is just change because...............
