I concurrently owned 2 E46 BMWs ('00 328Ci and '01 330i) -- one without DBW, and the other with DBW. My wifey and I often swtiched our BMWs and the DBW was quite noticeable on the 330i; in a negative way.
I own a 330i now and have owned a VW Passat and Jetta - DBW are on all.

I vote

It is noticeable and gives you a feeling of detachment.

I tend to believe your price is correct. Every dealer I spoke with said around $1k increase in MSRP from '05.

Don't hate drive by wire by name or technology, hate the poor implementations.

Apparently it has been on every NSX ever, and no one complains about it there.

You may be right since Autoweek said $33,850 EST -(Estimate). Wow I am surprised u can order your. None of my dealers even know when it will be on the lot. You call 5 dealers u get 5 different date.
So when is your car delivery date ? If u don't mind me asking.

A guy at my dealer just told me there wouldn't be a 2006 model.

I thought about fetching a brochure for him to look at, but decided it wasn't worth the effort.

If he still using that "promo" to get u to buy 05 on the lot he may get bitch slap the next time around. Maybe it will knock some senses into his dump ass.

Then when he can't hide the fact that the 06 is out, he'll tell you it's the LAST YEAR, so he'll be taking offers over MSRP because they are so "special".

They told me 3-4 weeks from when I ordered which means either this weekend or next weekend.

If u do get the car this weekend or next week you may very well be the first person in this forum to get your 06. Let us know when u do.
