Default 2007 Silverstone

I'm being quoted $28,900 + $635(dest) + $199(doc fee) + TTL for a leftover 2007. I'm located in NJ. I was reading the recent 2007 pricing thread and this offer seems a bit high. Thoughts?

My inclination is to offer $28,000 (all inclusive of dest and dealer chargea) + TTL.

Hey... sales rep from LI. that isn't a bad price. DO NOT PAY THE DESTINATION OR THE DOC FEE.

Silverstone FTW.

Offer em $28,000 for everything except tax. Also call around to other dealerships with the same offer.

You should be able to get that price down a bit, especially with the snow on the ground now. Mine was a left over and I ended up getting a great deal a few years back.

OK...a bit more back and forth with the dealer via email and I'm at:

$28,800 (inclusive of doc fee and destination)+ tax + DMV

Sounding MUCH better. He basically knocked close to $1000 off.

it sucks that they are selling new S2000s this cheap, lowers the value of the car

Keep going back and forth with them. If you can hold off till the end of the month, try buying around the 28-31st because they'll probably be more inclined to make a deal. Not only are dealerships in the business of making money, but they're also looked at by Honda for moving units (i.e. cars). This might help them at the end of the month let alone year.

I'd say I'll take it at $26k OTD, they'll say no, but will probably come back with a better offer than the first.

You can still get it down lower.
