I bought an 02 used, then traded up to a new 07. Don't regret either of them one bit.

I traded from an 03 to an 06 and that was for a lot of the changes. Not too many changes from 07 to 08. I honestly think the 08(non-CR) wheels are ugly and I really cant stand how much more they made the headrests stick above the roll hoops.

the reason for me going new/near-new is the fact that in used cars, we aren't sure of the amount of abuse the car might have taken. especially, a performance/track oriented vehicles, such as s2k.

for my preference, i like 06/07 gpw,
first time in rwd and moving to seattle makes me think i would want the vsa.

my 2cents..

used s2k's with low miles are great buys because they're generally babied by their owners - look at all the folks on this forum who keep it garaged in winter, have DD beaters, obsessively wash/wax ... i mean its an expensive impractical convertible, so it tends to be a secondary nice day/summer car.

bottom line, used STI or EVO scares me. used S2k doesn't.
