We suspect the new S2000 will be a bit slower than the old, thanks to more "relaxed" gearing and a smaller engine with less power than the current 237-horsepower 2.2-liter unit. But many buyers may find that a fair trade in what promises to be a less frenzied and somewhat thriftier sports car with a much smoother ride and even more usable passenger space.
awesome

anyone who believes this (that includes some of the idiots who have already posted above) are idiots. clueless idiots.

Firstly, do you believe everything you read?

Secondly, do you even think for a second that Honda can magically turn around a vehicle by mid 2009 that absolutely NO ONE has heard about or seen. The S2000 debuted in 1995 as a concept before being introduced in late 1999. Cars don't develop overnight. A completely new platform for a completely new car takes time. If there was anything even remotely close to being introduced, we would already have seen spy photographs of mules/prototypes testing somewhere.
