It's been a while since my last post, but I thought I'd share a great day with my S2000. Today my 2005 S2000 rolled 20k miles on a glorious day in Florida. I've been waiting on this for a couple weeks now, my wife thinks me a little nuts for getting excited about such things.
Anyway, my daughter and I had gone to our Saturday morning guitar lesson as always in the red guitar car. Believe it not, two guitars can fit in the trunk of an S2000! One acoustic in a full-size case and a Fender Stratocaster in a gig bag, plus room for a music bag under them in the hole. Anyone else hauling guitars around? Just curious... So we pulled into a gas station on the way home, gave her (the S, not my daughter) a full tank of 93 go-juice and as soon I pulled out she yelled "20,000!", this time my daughter. It was a perfect time in the life of car lover. Driving home with my daughter, top down, not a cloud in the sky on a sunny 70 degree Florida morning with Bob Seger's Roll Me Away playing on the stereo. No kidding, couldn't have planned if I tried. Had to kick in V-Tec after the last turn headed home. I think it was the first time she experienced that, my daughter, not the S2000! Both of grinning!
Followed this up by driving my wife to dinner in a neighboring small city via county roads. It's been an enjoyable Saturday.
Thanks for letting me share. I hope you all find joy in the little things of life, cars and family!

What a great story! Sounds like you're marked the 20k in style. Tell us about your car, color etc. how did you acquire it?

Awesome story, thanks for sharing! I used to be in a band and my first S was my only car. I played 5-string electric basses. I would put 1 bass in my hardshell coffin case with cables and tuner, another bass in a gig bag, both in the passenger seat with a cushion between them and the seat, 2 guitar stands in the floor board, sans amp and set list in the passenger seat with a phone charger, ampeg SVT4 pro in the trunk with cables, drum mics, cables for those, and still had plenty of room for other miscellaneous stuff as needed. Always had to put my cab in my guitarist's vehicle. It was a great time!
