[QUOTE=124Spider,Mar 14 2006, 11:33 AM] Nonsense.

My absolutely stock '04 (well, it does have an aftermarket head unit, and DOT4 brake fluid) did 219 uncorrected, 210 corrected, on a dynojet dyno.

Right. Well at least 5 ap2s dynoed on my dyno day (was 91 degrees though). All of them got ~200 whp except one that got 204 (yes I dynoed about 5 hp higher than ap2s). I had 203 on my ap1 stock. The guy with the 204 hp ap2 had at least 3 mods (intake exhaust and test pipe I think). SO unless you can back that up with some numbers from the same dyno days under the same conditions, then don't talk about stuff you don't know. you back
It's always funny when people talk so knowingly about their dyno numbers, but neglect to correct for temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. That's what "corrected" means--normalized for those variables. If you think it's meaningless to talk about dyno results from different machines, it's even more meaningless to talk about uncorrected dyno results, which, unfortunately is what people (including you, apparently) seem to fixate on.

How is it not fact by now that on avg. ap2's dyno higher than ap1's? People still argue the fact.
While I wouldn't say ap2's are faster than ap1's, I would say that ap2's dyno higher than ap1's...

this seems like an accurate statement. we have more hp but it isn't any faster. remember that even though ap2's dyno higher they can only rev to 8k so you'll always have that to brag about!

Question: Do dyno curves for all S2000s look that smooth?

I remember looking at some dynos before (mainly ITRs and MR2s) and they looked rather rough, but this one's like ... smooooth!!! Or maybe the image was blury/my eyes are blury ...

hahaa, no mine got ripped to shreds for looking exactly the same, these idiots claimed i sprayed... LOL. nice numbers. sea level i suppose? lates dave

this guy knows his ap1 is slower, and wont admit it. thats all man. these people on here will argue whatever point benefits their personal goals,,, which is... making themselves look good, or feel like they are better than everyone else. later dave

i didn't claim you sprayed. in fact, i defended your dyno. you look like a typical ap2 making about 15whp more than stock with bolt ons.

and before you go saying "these idiots" remember this.... those "idiots" weren't arguing that humidity ADDS horsepower.

this guy knows his ap1 is slower, and wont admit it.
ap1=ap2 ap2=ap1

ironic, considering what you just wrote above.

way to come in and sh*t all over someone else's thread dave. this isn't street encounters.

that K&N drop in filter definitely can be good for 2-3whp gain.
2-3 WHP from a drop in filter? you gotta be kidding me. i suppose a cold air intake will shoot that number to 5-8 WHP?

good numbers bro! if your sick of hearing about dyno crap, you can always hit the strip and see at what mph you're trapping at.

for example, i make 221rwhp(mustang dyno) and on a G-tech(the strip is closed still) i trapped 102 twice and 103 once. last summer with a stock car i trapped 100.8. then i dyno 197rwhp(mustang) later the week.
