2500 Miles and a latch is rattling!
I'm a little surprised, to tell you the truth, but my right top latch rattles when the top is up and Im driving over uneven pavment. The car is only 2500 miles old, although it has been my only driver, and the roads here in this post-apocalyptic New Orleans aren't the best...
I remember reading a post about this issue before (tried searching) - is there a fix or does the dealer just replace it?

I just hit 2800 miles and, while the top hasn't been up all that much, I have had two instances when the right latch rattled. There have been many more instances when the top was up and the latch didn't rattle. About the only variable I can isolate is that it seems to rattle when the temperature drops. Maybe there is a bit on contraction going on, I don't know.

Yeah, I've noticed it intermittently too - but now I drive (like a crazy) with the radio off so that I can hear it when the rattle occurs. I mean I had squeaks, rattles, and clicks in my old 2001 GTI, I had hoped to avoid them with a new car purchase... dont get me wrong - it definately does not take away from the driving experience!
Any fixes though?

Aside from the rattle , i recently started having squeaks coming from the right latch. Its very very annoying. Just 6000 miles on my car and yet it sounds like a sewing box falling down the steps everytime i drive with the top up.
