Default 3" of legroom and I'm getting an S2000

Hello S2Ki.com:

My name is Alex and I am looking to buy an S2000. I love imports and have had a bunch of cars, including a 400HP 300ZXTT and a 1JZ MKIII Supra. I have been interested in an S2000 for a long time and would like to say a big hello to all of you!

I have an issue and would like to see what you guys think.

I am 6'5" and weigh about 220-225lbs and am not afraid to get in a small sporty car. The headroom in the S2K with the top up is alright, but the legroom is 2 or 3" short. I can drive the car barefoot, but it gets a little difficult with shoes on. I have been trying to find a way to possibly make some adjustments to the OEM seat or get an aftermarket seat with a slimmer profile to get some more legroom.

Have any other members on this site dealt with this already? I have searched around a bit, but haven't found anything. My boss is 6'4" with my build and drives the car just fine. I just may be a new S2000 owner if someone can hook me up with some info

Get lowered seat rails, and a smaller steering wheel. That way you can bend at the knees a little more.

For being 6'5'' I would hope he wouldn't weigh under or near 200lbs. I'm pretty sure he's at the right weight area for his height so no diet for him!

I would try lowered seat rails, I forget who sells them but they pop up in the for sale forums every now and then. But if it's not comfortable, don't convince yourself it is or else you'll regret it later. If you can't fit then that's just the way it is. I'd sacrifice not fitting into an s2k to be as tall as you .

The lower rails for stock seats only lower approx 1 inch, I think.

You'd have to get a racing seat with low rails, but it's doable.
