Looks like it will be the week commencing 2nd Jan before I have any more info on the floor mats. Fortunately the trim shop is closed only briefly over the Christmas break.

Muz,

I'm in, if they are anything like your roof well mats, I'm sure they'll be awesome. Any room for a S2000 logo ????

Muz,

Definitely interested.

Have you considered adding something to stop the mats moving when people use their feet to lever themselves out. On my previous HSV I used male tonneou clips screwed into the floor (2 per mat) with matching female clips on the mats. Until I saw your posting I was going to get a set of mats made and was thinking of using the S2K roof cover clips to secure them but was scared off by the price when I asked at the local dealer. Possibly there are others available.

Col.

Muz, If I hadn't already made the $285 investment (ouch!)in the factory Honda mats I'd be in line. However, I think I will stick with what I have.

Any further news on the 'camera avoiding' plate covers. I'm also potentially interested in something like a V1 or BEL radar detector.

I think it is worth trying to sneak one of these things in as I doubt if many local police have detector detection equipment and frankly how would they know you're the vehicle with it?

However, what I really need to know is what are the bands the Oz police use (X,K, laser??) and is it the same in each state?

Any other Aussies know about /interested in this?

I have indeed Col as this is something that bugs the hell out of me also. My drivers side factory mat constantly needs straightening because it pivots on that post.

I will be straight back onto this project come Jan 2nd.

Ok... tomorrow, 12th Jan 2001, I'l be installing the first prototype of my RHD floor mats.

Then I'm going to drive around with them in the car for a week or so and see how they perform.

I'll post pics at that time. Keep checking this thread to find out when they will be available, pricing etc.
